what fun we had

first we had an early christmas with my family. everyone came together and it was just so much fun. i just love love love to be with my family. mom and dad treated all the girls to the Nutcracker in Charlotte which was so precious. my favorite part was watching spencer look so intently at the sugar plum fairy and all the beautiful ballerinas.

Mom and Dad thank you so much.

ok, here is our new baby that we had over christmas, just kidding.
this is spencer's christmas present from mom and dad. wow. we couldn't believe how real it looks. kind of creepy. I mean expensive, but strange, right?
Dan, Katy, Lizza and I really had a fun time with it.

Then we had Christmas morning and a lot of wonderful time with the Singletary and Eddleman clan.
Here is will's new tent that Lee lee and Pop pop got him. It's amazing. We have enjoyed it as well. It does take up our whole house, but we've always wanted to live like real Iroquois.

Here is Will's wagon from my mom and dad, thank you thank you for this. we are already getting so much use out of it.

we had fun fun fun.
although, from christmas day to about 2 days later. everyone but me, will and cooper got the stomach flu. Yes, that's right, throwing up, alternating houses, alternating use of the toilet, alternating who has the babies, alternating was our theme.
Wow, it was crazy. I think on Sunday when the preacher said, "you might think of your christmas like, what was that all about?" yeah, that pretty much sums most of the actual holiday up.
However, we managed, as we always do, to squeeze lots of fun and wonderful memories into a few days.
That is Santa above, he came to visit. Did he come your house? I hope he made it, the only one this santa made it too was the Kings. He'll have to visit more next year.

Will is now deemed a harmonica prodigy. He is so good is scary. every morning he plays it and we actually enjoy it. the guys got some talent, i'm not kidding.

and, here are our two little stud muffins.
these guys melt my heart. they both learned so much about eachother this trip.
Will learned a lot about how to have a little person around and how to be gentle (although that is so hard) and how to share his things and Cooper's with Cooper (yes, we have a little problem with thinking everything is our's).

All that to say,
we are so thankful for our families.
This holiday we didn't really get a chance to think about our Savior being born, everyone was so sick with the flu that is was hard to focus on Jesus being born. The really cool thing was that in all that. Will really began to pray.
He prays fervently, not sure completely what all he says and i'm sure there's some "Mommy and Daddy pleasing" going on too. But, it bring tears to my eyes and makes me remember my Savior and what life is all about.
We are so thankful for Jesus coming.
We are hopeful for things to come in this New Year.
Hopeful that we will have more of an eternal perspective in all that we do.
I have to say that my blog friends (some of which I see and some of I don't), thank you. Thank you for reading, thank you for encouraging and for being there on the other side of this. It's really neat to think about how much i've learned from all of you in this age of online. I'm thankful for it, because honestly, 3 hour mid day naptimes can get a little old without you.
Wishing you a wonderful New Year.

Wow! How sweet that Will prays with you guys now. What an amazing thing. And I can't wait to hear him play the harmonica!

It sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas, despite all your sickness. Hope we can hang out soon, now that things are getting back to normal.

i love your perspective on everything. even though every one was sick you handled it so gracefully. i so appreciate that about you! you are a trooper. i can't wait, i mean BellaRose can't wait to play in that tepee. it is so cool. Thanks for sharing all the pictures. they are awesome. even though BellaRose does not take a 3 hour nap it is a time for us to just sit and it is so very nice to have the blogs to look at! love you!

It seems like there is more sickness this year than normal.
I just love the pictures of Will. I am pretty sure BellaRose, Addison, and Ellen will have to fight Annabelle for him in about 18 years.

That is amazing that Will is praying.. how very sweet indeed. I heard Ak & Canon's the other week and it really does touch your heart to hear them pray.

Sorry to hear about the stomach flu.. we were sick too.. and we spyed on your home from my parents deck.. don't worry we didn't see anything.. I was hoping to get a glimpse of santa's gifts on the porch (Will playing or somehting) but we really couldn't see much.. even with the binoculars!! ha!

Looks/Sounded like loads of fun!!

Love the teepee! Is it an Iroquois teepee? that is very cool that Will is playing the harmonica we have a 5 year old that plays in our church for worship, his dad plays the guitar and said he just picked it up! Maybe will is a natural too! that is awesome! Your holiday look like fun, except the puking, I'm with sunday on loving how graciously you dealt with it all, come hang with me soon yo!

Courtney, you looked at us through binoculars, ooo, creepy. just kidding, we've tried to find their house with our binoculars before, it's really fun. Glad we weren't doing anything strange.
